BicycleBlueBook.com Helping You Transact On eBay, Craigslist, and More
Since our inception in 2011 we have been hard at work developing the bicycle secondary market for cyclists everywhere. At BicycleBlueBook.com our goal is to make it easier, safer, and smoother for cyclists to buy and sell bicycles. Whether you are selling on Craigslist, eBay, our Marketplace, or locally we hope our valuations will be a start to guide your transaction.
By now you are already familiar with the BicycleBlueBook.com Valuation engine, which takes into account millions of completed sales transactions to offer you the most accurate starting value for the very bike, you are looking into.
Over this last year we have been working with some of the largest shops across the US helping them develop effective bicycle Trade-In Programs. Forever the biggest obstacle shops have had to overcome in selling a new bike was the customer’s current bike. Ironically this is the same obstacle many of us cyclists also face. If there were a place for us to take our current bike and receive a fair price for it in a hassle free environment we would buy our next bike sooner. We’ve taken the concept of “Wouldn’t it be nice to just trade this bike in and not worry about the hassle of selling it” and turned it into a reality in many major US markets already, with many more to come in 2015. At our Trade-In Partner shops you can quickly have your current bicycle appraised in a matter of minuets then if it meets the criteria for a trade-in at that shop you decide if you want to trade it in towards credit for a new one. It’s that easy. We have already been able to help tons of people take advantage of trading in their bikes and it’s just the beginning.
You spoke, and we listened. In 2014 we received many questions from cyclists that circled around used bicycle transactions. We responded to many of them but realize that some of these questions kept popping up and we want to share with everyone some of what BicycleBlueBook.com has learned by watching millions of bicycle transactions. Over the next few weeks we will dig into how to get maximum value for your bike for sellers. We will also cover a buyers guide for buyers on good used deals and how to get the most bike for your money when you’re a buyer. We’ll help answer why some bicycles sell for more and seemingly identical ones will go for less. For buyers we will focus on the price points of used bikes and what factors are important to consider. Are they different or the same as new bicycles?
Feel free to reach out to us with your questions about used bicycles for sale transacting and we will do our best to answer them.
