This week the bicycle that was most frequently engaged with on our site was the 2008 Specialized Roubaix Comp Compact. Rolling the clock back about seven years, this was a bicycle that offered consumers tons for their money, so it’s no surprise that it is showing up now as one of the most frequently sought after used bicycles.
Offering consumers a carbon frame, Specialized patented Zertz to help dampen road chatter, and reliable Shimano drivetrain, this version of the Roubaix had a lot to offer buyers searching for value in the $3,000 range. The Specialized Roubaix line has offered endurance minded consumers a great choice for over ten years and it’s been fun to watch the progression. Looking into the 2015 line we now see a whole array of disc brake available S-Works level with Roubaix’s pulling from that same technology used in the 2008 version.
